Ion Ceban explained that he resigned from the position of spokesman of the Presidency because of a response from the National Authority for Integrity, according to which it would be incompatible with the position of alderman.

Ceban says that under these circumstances, after consultations with the civil society and colleagues, he decided to remove this incompatibility.

"I will remain to exercise the same functional duties in the Moldovan Presidency Administration, but also to lead the PSRM fraction in the MCC. It is not important how the function is called, but what do we do. Conceptually it will not change anything. See you soon!", wrote Ion Ceban.

The former MP, Ion Ceban resigned as the counselor in the political area and spokesman for the head of state, according to a presidential decree which will be published tomorrow in Monitorul Oficial [e.n. Official Paper] of the Republic of Moldova.

The resignation was accepted yesterday, January 25th.

Later, starting with July 2015 he was a counselor in the Chisinau Municipal Council, being the leader of the Socialists.
