According to a survey conducted by the Association of Sociologists of Moldova, in the runoff election for president, 49.8% of all respondents would vote for Igor Dodon and for the joint candidate, Maia Sandu - 39.7% .

While 5.3 percent of those questioned replied that they will not vote and 5.2 percent did not answer.

From the number of people who decided to vote, the survey shows that 55.6% would vote for Igor Dodon, the PSRM candidate and for the joint candidate, Maia Sandu - 44.4%.

Authors of the survey asked respondents for whom they voted in the first round, and the responses were almost the results of candidates in the elections. For Igor Dodon claim that 43.2% voted and for Maia Sandu - 34.4%, Dumitru Ciubasenco - 5.9%, Iurie Leanca - 2.6%, Mihai Ghimpu - 1.1% and for other candidates 1.9%. While 8.2% said they did not participate in the elections, while 2.7% did not answer.

The survey was conducted between 1 - 5 November, 2016, after the first round of elections and was organized on a sample of 1,075 respondents in 78 localities, with a margin of error of +/- 3%.
